Availability and Use of Health Information Technology in Nursing Homes
Study OverviewThis website archives findings from a national survey conducted by the University of Pittsburgh designed to determine the prevalence and use Health Information Technology (HIT) in nursing homes. Our approach was to ask about specific uses related to quality, communication, documentation, medications, regulatory compliance, and operations. This is in contrast with previous studies that have examined HIT only from the perspective of generic systems or technologies, such as an 'electronic medical record.'
